Silhouetted Trees

Silhouetted Trees

I don't head into Federation Park very often, just happened to be at the Trinidad Art Society building attending the launch of John Mendes' Cote ci, Cote la — an informal dictionary of the colourful Trinidadian language.

I got this shot about 20 minutes after sunset, as the sky was already starting to darken to night, but still with this incredible colour gradient. These two trees were an ideal complement to the image. I've even been told that it resembles an African safari scene, though not by anyone who's ever been to Africa. (Or Trinidad for that matter.)

Beautiful shot! You captured this excellent blend of colors and I love how the trees almost fill the whole shot. Great job!
