Maracas on Tuesday

During the week, Maracas is practically deserted. Usually no more than a handful of tourists scatter the beach. For some it's the best time to visit because the beach is clean, quiet, and peaceful. And the lines for bake and shark are short!

The red flag in the sand proclaims the area unsafe for bathing. It's a common practice for the entire beach to be lined with red flags. Strange, for what it supposedly the most popular beach in the country. I guess it makes the lifeguards' jobs easier.

This is a great pic - wish I was there and not stuck in an office in a cold and wet Scotland

Beautiful beach, not the mention the tasty bake and sharke you can get the eat there. But I have a great fear of this beach, lovely as it looks.
