Old mas is a dying art in Trinidad Carnival but these Blue Devils from the band “Hell Come to T&T” are keeping the traditions alive for at least another year. My first encounter with these colourful characters was a mixture of fascination and wariness. What does it feel like to be coated head to toe in that thick blue mud-like paint? They're not going to decide my camera would look better with a blue finish are they? Perhaps next year I'll be brave enough to get a little closer.
