Looking Up at Salvatori

Salvatori Building may look like an uninspired rectangle hunk but when you get up close the vertical slats that form the outer facade create an interesting abstract.

Andréas posed an interesting question — does Salvatori Building have windows? Answer: I'm still not sure. It certainly appears not, and the only reason I'm not sure is because from my one trip into the building, many years ago, I recall the interior being very bright and well-lit. On the other hand, there is every chance that my memory is somewhat dim. When I find out for sure I'll publish an update.

Update: I've confirmed that Salvatori Building does indeed have windows. There are rows of them fitted into the wall behind the vertical slats. There's enough space between the wall and the slats for them to open outward too.

Now I understand the strange architecture of this building. Even if it has windows it must be dark inside, given the orientation of the slats.
Apart from that it makes for a nice abstract shot. :)
